Sorry...it's a little off topic but I'm looking to replace two old security lights at my home (not worked since moving in). One front, one rear.

In stead of replacing the energy hungry bulbs I have decided to replace with some energy efficienct and long lasting LED ones.

They seem to vary greatly in price from £15 to £100.

Anybody got a decent one for a reasonable price? If so please can you share a link.

Cheers

I bought 2 bnq 10w pir security lights for around £15 each and they are very good. Small back yard tho. The sensor is built in to the body of the light so it looks ok as well.

I was lucky as bnq were selling them in store so I just picked em up rather than online.

Check that the ones you are getting have a very good IP rating so they are really waterproof. Inbought one from Homebase once that was £30 and was surprisingly high specced for IP rating for its price. Was a while ago though so they might be different but worth checking potential purchases.

How much light do you need? We've got the solar powered led jobs from Amazon. Mainly to light the side of garage for heading out to the bins/garden. They work well and self contained

Cheers...sounds like I don't need to spend a fortune...already wired up so will avoid solar power to keep high strength.
