With a rare day off with the missus tomorrow (She works office hours, I work weekends,) she wants to go to a zoo.
Where is good? Ideally around an hour is so from Notts.
Twycross.
Its the best day out.
If you can face a 2hr trip Chester Zoo is incredible.

Not a zoo exactly, but the [url= http://www.thedeep.co.uk/ ]The Deep[/url] in Hull is a good trip out.
Last zoo I went to had no animals, apart from one small dog.
It was a Shih Tzu.
Twycross she doesn't like the look of. I like the look of The Deep, but she says she's 'not a fan of fish.'
Looks like Chester could be a winner.

chester zoo is awesome, they had real dinosaurs there
I'm a member at Chester, its a good day out and within spitting distance of cheshire oaks if she fancies some retail therapy or even pop into Chester for a mooch
Marcus7 - mentioned that to her, response was 'I love a good Nandos.'
Chester, with a stop off at Cheshire Oaks on the way home, is the winner.

+1 for Chester zoo, they've had a load of new arrivals in the last year. If you're lucky you'll get to see young Rhino, Giraffe, Otters and Elephants. Brilliant day out.
