Mine caught fire today. Budget = £30. No need for more than two slots, but bun toasting capability would be good (to stop it catching fire).

Got a Breville VTT 236 from Aggro's recently,in Argos big book at £23.Thought it looked great value for a 4 slice job.Works a treat, nice slim profile for the worktop (it's laid out == slim, not IIII bulky),so it was just what was required.Got it for £22,as well Special Offer, result!.

Oh the irony of the 'get a life' post by someone posting on a random 'what toaster' thread on the Internet.

If you don't care what it looks like get a dirt cheap one from tesco/asda

I got an argos value one for under a fiver. I set it on fire so put it in the sink and turned the taps on (unplugged), plugged it back in a few hours later and it still works!

Does that mean it's good or bad?
