What do you want 2GB for in a Netbook?
You won't get a 2Gb notebook (unless you take the Linux route) as Microsoft give discounted licenses for "netbooks" where their definition of "netbook" includes 1Gb of RAM max. On the upside, most are readily upgradeable; I've bought two now and it cost me ~£20 for a 2Gb SODIMM each time.
What do you want 2GB for in a Netbook?
Because (in my experience of the two I've configured) it makes it considerably faster.
Ive got one of those toshiba ones and its great, hardly use the laptop now
thanks cougar - didnt realise that. think thats what i'll do then, get a 1gb and get it upgraded!
Personally, unless you really need long battery life or tiny size I wouldn't have another netbook. Just too small, and limited.
There is (no connection to me) an ultra portable in the classifies for 200 notes, I go with that. Much better balance in my view.
