i'm after a head-torch for off-road running and as a 'get me home' light if it gets dusky on a trail.
Anyone got any recommendations for £20 or under?
The Alpkit gamma looks like it would be spot on but it's not in stock till April and i need one pretty sharpish

I've always liked the Petzl Range. I have a Tikka II at the moment.

It's a bit out of your budget, but the Petzl Myo RXP is what I use for night runnign on trails. It is amazing.
Why not just get one of the 1000lm DX lights for £25 from Amazon?
