[#1630184]

I'm after a fire pit for the back garden to enjoy the summer nights that little bit longer. I've been told by a mate of a design that has a 'cap' which deflects the heat out the side rather than straight up, but haven't been able to find one.
Any general fire pit recommendations? Feel free to post some pics

Dig hole to desired depth and width with spade line edge with bricks or rocks, some sand in bottom job done.

Weber are great for anything fire/cooking related, but you could always try getting the steel drum out of a washing machine, standing it on some bricks and filling it full of burning wood (for that authentic "steptoe" look. A mate of mine made one and it actually worked quite well.

Did the spin facility still work? 😉

Of the Weber?, Yes i have one, its not bad, havnt used it that much though, and youve got to put sand in the bottom.

Its good in that you can remove the metal frame thing and close it, putting the fire out safely. Its quite pig to store though in the winter months, mine is currently strapped with bungees from my garage celling!
