MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
My wife has a new Golf - stereo is CD only and she wants something she can connect to an iPhone, do sat nav and music on.
What's good?
Budget is probably up to about £300.
Aux input fitting to the current stereo? Probably find it's possible to connect one round the back.
Mount for the phone, then it can do satnav etc. Recommend a RAM mount, great design and sturdy.
Total cost < £50, spend remaining £250 on bikes?
Parrot Asteroid Smart - about £100 over budget though
Or maybe one of these as it'll work just like an iphone

Fitted satnav going to be out of date in 6 months or can you keep them updated regularly thse days?
The idea was she could use the sat nav from the phone and have the head unit as the display/controls?
That Pioneer Carplay looks the sort of thing.

TBH - they don't go out of date - a few roads that you may never use may change or disappear.
The whole upgrading of electronic maps is just a money spinner for the manufacturers, I certainly don't bin paper maps twice a year.
The Tomtom in my missus' car is at least 8 years old and still works fine.
The built in one in my last car was dated 2006, I still used it OK up until I sold in in the summer.
