mate bought one for 9€ and it broke. we've found one to replace it for 40€ but it's exactly the same!

I find the past just happens to me, I don't need to make it.

Pasta machine I assume?

It has to be Imperia.

I have had 3 in the past varying from about £10 to about £50. The only real difference were the extra cutter shapes and moulds you get with the more expensive.

They all broke with similar faults. The roller bearings broke on two and the bit inside the roller where the handle attaches broke on the other. Avearage life span of about 1 year.

If you do find a good one, let me know as I have been without one for a couple of years now.

WCA - have you tried the Imperia one? Ours is great.

You do know that you put dough through, not supermarket pasta?...

Mine's a 'pro cook' one, it's been fine, but please dont tell anyone I admitted to owning one - if the locals found out, I'd be in for a right shoeing.

It was the Imperia one where the handle bit broke. I guess I might be a bit heavy handed 🙁

I've had one of these for a few years and it's been fine.

I think it you tried to put too much dough through you might have problems.

I love STW humour.
Merciless.
They'll pounce on the slightest mistake.
Piranhas.

Makes me giggle, so it does.
Bitches.

that was much more entertaining than i expected it to be... 😆

thanks for the tips. will try and search out the Imperia.

@ roper. i think you're right. opened up the old ebay jobbie and found it had bent teeth on the sprockets.
