I tried Dows in the past and thought it was ok...Taylor’s not so. In the big scheme these are both probably pants. When I’ve been out a few times we’ve had what looks like a pale/rose/blush coloured one that’s in a Portuguese branded bottle though can’t think what it could be. So I’m after a smooth, not cheap but not silly priced nice port for the end of night with cheeseboard festivities...go!

If quaffing, have a look at Warre's Otima.

If you can find it, Niepoort Colheita is lovely

The Maynards 30 (and 40 if you can find it) is very nice indeed, you'll not go far wrong with it at all. If you'd rather not go to Aldi then something from Calum, either their Colheita or the 30 year vintage will go down well.
