Must be a newly middle aged thing but we are after a new bigger more supporting/comfy bed. After a bit of a hunt around for what is out there we are going to either go for a solid wood frame either from a small independent firm or I'll make it myself, time allowing.

However - a quality mattress - where from for a really nice quality pocket sprung or memory foam at a really nice price? Most of the high street places (dreams etc) seem to be the DFS of the bed world full of sleazy salesmen selling snake oil, endless meaningless sales and big fat profit margins. Has anyone found a nice independent or preferably good value online place selling quality?

Many thanks.

We just bought a Harrison from the Bed Post following on from a recommendation on here. Order online in the morning (forget the model) but King Size, 3000 odd pocket spring etc. Expecting a the quoted 4-6 week delivery. I get a phone call that afternoon (Monday) saying they'll upgrade us to the newest version (4500 springs) and will someone be around tomorrow (Tuesday) for delivery as they've one in stock and are down in our neck of the woods.

Can't recommend them highly enough.

Feather & Black do great mattresses, I'm loving mine. Seem really well made and weigh an absolute ton. You can choose how soft you want it too.
