Getting away for the w/e. Can anyone recommend a nice B&B/ guesthouse/ hotel in N Yorks. Reasonably close to Dalby would be cool, but not essential.

Muchas gracias

In Harrogate (about an hour from Dalby) I can thoroughly recommend Rudding Park or, in the town centre, Hotel Du Vin. The Old Swan has been recently renovated and is meant to be nice but I haven't been in to see it.

Swinton Park near Masham (home of Theakston's & Black Sheep Beer) is also very nice.

(all the above are 4 star (Swinton may be 5) hotels BTW)

Looking at the OP's profile, they're in Saltaire so staying in Harrogate for the weekend to be near to Dalby wouldn't exactly be handy!

Well he did say it wasn't essential and those are the hotels in North Yorkshire I know well enough to recommend.
