Great location, stuff for the [young] family to do outdoors, lakes, Pembrokeshire Cornwall or Northumberland

I would like natural attractions close by or on site such as beaches, hills, streams that type of thing. Not a crowded site either.
Any suggestions? Any recommendations for must do/see things in the area would be great too,

Swaledale has everything you need in spades
