That's a fair response northwind.
It didn't come across so balanced (to me) in your original post, but that have been my failure to corrctly interpret you the first time around.
If the major shareholders (that's us) don't feel it appropriate to pay bonuses (boni?), then no none should be paid (IMHO).

My initial post was maybe a bit confrontational as I was expecting to get flamed to death for it But, if the major shareholders don't want bonuses, there's ways for them to do so, and this ain't it. And FWIW we're not the major shareholders, so our opinion counts for nowt.

Oh, and running a bank based on general public opinion is probably the only idea worse than putting Fred Goodwin in charge of one 😉
