Rawtenstall / Rossendale Xmas dinner if anyone is struggling / needs company/etc

If anyone lives or has relatives / family / friends in Rossendale that would like some company / joy / Xmas dinner then MrsRNP's Shine Project has open doors tomorrow at Kay St church in the centre of Rawtenstall.

It's a weekly thing she does year round every Monday as she has commandeered the industrial kitchen they have there. No judgement / comment / or questions - MrsRNP genuinely has the biggest heart in the world. Everyone sits down and eats together, there's no volunteers/them.
It's a cracking Christmas dinner and always a brilliant day. The turkey is from Cooks butchers in edenfield (👍 big shout out to them), and veg from the market.
No charge, also a food bank to keep people going through the week if needed.
I'll be there and the mighty Berlingo is in use as a taxi service for anyone who needs it.

Discussion not needed, I'm not going to comment further in this thread.
PM me if you need any further info or someone collecting, pass this message on to anyone who needs it.

My wording might not be as eloquent as MrsRNP would put it - but the sentiment is the same.

I'm nowhere near, and thankfully not in need, but that is amazing 👏

Bump for the evening crowd.

Absolutely rammed Berlingo on tonight's collection.
Flowers, bread, chilled goods and a massive turkey!

top work!  there was a heart breaking article in the christmas big issue of some poor homeless souls  of christmas dinners past....

Mei 63, sliced sausages, yellow sticker from the supermarket reduced section, Can't cook hot food because of my injury

Wassa 56, Baked beans, opened by a supermarket assistant. Ate them cold with a free wooden fork

Kevin 71, two chicken wings, Plundered from my mates fridge, still feel guilty about it, I'm an honest person.

Ali 35, Prawn cocktail crisps, digestive biscuits and a chocolate. Long shelf-life donations handed out bt volunteers during the pandemic.

Kamga 42, Ketchup pasta, made using long-live food donations cooked it in a hostel.

Liv 54, Milky way, magic stars and a coffee, from the volunteers on christmas day during  Covid. Lived off junk food during this time (what most of the donations were)

Holy Moly thats a lot of veg! 🙂
