I've currently got a couple of Garmin GPS devices, a Forerunner 10 and an Edge 200, and I'm looking to sell both of them and replace them with a single unit that (ideally with a HRM function).

I don't need a navigation function, just to give me ride/run stats and for the battery to last long enough for a long day out.

I'd also like to try to only spend £30 to £50 more than I'd get from selling the Forerunner and Edge.

I've looked at DC Rainmaker and the forerunner 310xt looks like a good choice (probably 2nd hand), as it does all the functions of the 2 garmins I've already got, has a HRM function and a decent battery life.

Does this looks like a decent choice?

Have I missed any obvious alternatives?

There was a news piece about some versions of the 200 on the home page yesterday. The edge 25 does connectivity now, and Bluetooth for 135 notes.

The Edge 25 look really good but I'd like one that I could use to track runs as well as rides.

Unless there's a wrist-strap accessory available....
