do i want an equal amount in C: and D:?? (108GB in each)
Depends what are you going to put on D?
Operating systems then equal.
If D is storage then 60/40 in favour of D
i've no idea - never heard of it... its just something my new netbook is telling me to do...
"saving important data or backup images of the C: drive to D: drive can prevent data loss and can be used for easy system restore in case of system corruption"
Essentially that.
There's no -need- to do it, but if you create a 'data' partition then it's easy to flatten your system partition without losing any data.
Minimum system partition for Windows 7 is 16Gb, IIRC. I'd either do one big partition ('s what I've done here) or give say 50Gb to C: and the rest to D:.
80 to D, 130 to C in the end...
thanks all 🙂
