As a cycling instructor I have to have an extended CRB to allow me to work with groups of under 18s, and not allowed to be alone with any one child.
Do driving instructors have CRB checks too, as they are often alone in a car with young people?

Yes but only a basic one. Or at least that was the case in 2003 ish when I was doing it.
