[Closed] Question about double glazing - can you retro-fit locks?

So, babybgoode is at the stage of climbing on everything including the windowsills and has shown particular interest in the window handles.

Unfortunately they are quite old and do not have integrated locks. Further they are two position handles - at 90 degress the windows swing all the way open and at 18- degrees they tilt from the bottom to leave a small opening at the top.

Is it possible to retro-fit some kind of lock or replace the handles for ones with integrated locks?

Cheers

Yes.
Places like Screwfix sell the standard type.
An online search will show up any unusual ones.

Yes the handle is just a spindle that moves the levers/bolts to lock the window. Main thing would be getting existing fixing holes to line up.

Can't see no screws - that's my issue. Are they usually hidden in a common place?

Are there any small metal plates that might be stick-on screw covers

they often have a cover above the handle like this hiding a screw and maybe one under the handle when you turn it to open.

Once you find the screws, measure the centre-centre spacing as there are a few standards.

Top job - screws now located.

Mrs D always looks at me funny when I tell her I'll ask the question on here and I've never been let down!!
