Is there an alternative brand for a handlebar phone mount that's functionally similar, but not so spendy? Case and mount is 80 quid, or a ton with the anti-vibration mount, (because motorbike). They seem to have dramatically increased in price since I last bought one!

eBay copy. I've got one on my KTM 990 v twin with vibration mount. It's solid. I've got one on each cycle also: hardtail, gravel and XC, minus the vibration add on. I've used them for several years with no problems. They're £5.61 at the minute.

Or, use the proper ones where development and testing costs are included! I have had a good experience from Quadlock and excellent service, the Mag case didn’t work with my Apple magnetic charger (this is not promised in the description) after a bit of to and fro with customer services and an offer of return I was given a 30% discount code, valid for a year. I’ve now ordered for my motorbike - mirror mount, anti-vibration mount and USB charger lead. The lead can be permanently mounted but switches off to prevent the vehicle battery discharging too much.

I’m pleased with quality and product support, sign up for email and you get 10% off.

Not quite as sleek but i use these:

Solid given alloy construction. Used for a few years now with no issues.

Design is not unique to decathlon:

I have just bought a Mous interlok for my commuter. Not actually used it yet though.

Not an unreasonable point Mr Fire and I don't like the idea of a cynical Chinese rip off, but at current prices I feel they are well into deminishing returns territory.

Will check out the Decathlon option, cheers. Also found an Oxford product, that looks OK too.

I've got a pixel 7 pro quadlock case that I'm hoping will fit a pixel 10. It won't, of course, but I'm balking at paying £40 for a new one. Might be time to break out a new email address for the discount.

OK different for a motorbike, but the phone sits protected in a back pack or my pannier and I use a Garmin(s) for the bike.

I've just gone from pixel 7 to 10. Can confirm the case doesn't fit. It's close, but not right. You can get the £10 discount, but you have to spend £40. The case is £39.99.

I used to use standard Quadlock on a ball mount on a dirt bike without any issues. If you're baulking at the price look out on fb marketplace to save some cash.

On a push bike I heartily agree, but I do like Google Maps for driving navigation.

Sticky quadlock mount for a motorbike, on a phone case, changed the phone...

Cut the sticky mount off the old phone. Removed the 3M sticky pad off the mount and cleaned it up. Fitted self adhesive velcro wide enough to cover the now clean quadlock mount. Stuck the hooky / rough side on the mount and the smoother softer loop side on the phone.

Phone is smooth and low profile without a permanently mounted QL thing, goes in a pocket and is non scratchy and sticks to the mount like poo to a blanket. Survived well over 100mph (Germany autobahn) and saved a fortune.

Ultimate addons do motorbike mounts and phone cases. They are a fair bit cheaper (or were when I got mine!) than Quadlock. The cases are a bit bulky but they feel absolutely bombproof.

Quadlock have done a 30% off Black Friday for a few years but that's a bit of a wait.

A small update... I went from the pixel 7 to the 10 because the battery blew up on the 7. There's virtually no difference in the phone, unsurprisingly I suppose. It does nothing better than the 7 as far as I'm concerned.

But the quadlok case on the 10 is much nicer! It's lower profile so the whole thing is slightly smaller and it feels slightly nicer (might be because it's new.) It's not really worth the £40 though. Especially as I found out the pixel 10 has inbuilt mag charging after is ordered the case.... so I probably don't even need the bloody quadlok anyway!
