Does the memory card you use make a noticable difference in a DSLR?
I've just moved from 35mm and bought a small capacity cheapo SD card at the time of purchase cos I wanted to play straight away - now looking to get a decent sized one...
Is it worth spending money on a snazzier, speedier card?
If so - any recommendations?

Matt
Definitely, if you do continuous shooting (e.g. button held, click, click click, click).
Probably, if you want the camera to be ready to shoot again faster, you want downloads from the camera to be faster or you want to make sure your photos are safe (cheap cards go bad in my experience).
Go with Sandisk or Lexar and you won't go wrong.
And shop around cos prices vary a lot!
Many fakes on Ebay, try 7 day shop or mymemory instead

Sandisk or Lexar as Graham says. I normally buy from Amazon, making sure it comes from them, not a seller. Their prices are usually either best or thereabouts, and I trust them.
digitalrev (on eBay and at digitalrev.com) are legit. I know because I emailed Sandisk to check the serial number after paying £45 for a very fast (Class 10) Sandisk 8GB SDHC Extreme for an HD camcorder.
