i have pulled a clf muscle which is now quite painful. It is swollen and bruised
i can walk if i put my foot down on the ground flat but cannot put any weight on my toes
the other calf is now sore but nothing like the other one
i suspect it has happened as a result of a weeks hard riding in chamonix and although not much uphilling plenty of standing on the pedals etc
i have been off thje bike for a few months due to a bad back so i guess it was a gamble going. That said i have been walking around 40 - 50 miles a week
anyway what can i do to speed up recovery and how long before i can get back on a bike/trainer?

Walking in chest deep water is good, bit like what they do with horsees 😀
