Any recommendations, please?

Riding Elin's Revenge tomorrow, and Conwy Mountain on Sunday . . . so I'll be hungry on Saturday evening!

As said, Pen y Bryn is very very nice (plus I live 5 mins walk away), but yeah, not cheap.

Thanks, guys - that's perfect!

I've been to a couple of other Brunning and Price pubs, including The Corn Mill in Llangollen, and they were rather good

I shall look forward to the "Smoked haddock and salmon fishcakes", probably followed by "Tropical fruit salad with mango sorbet" ๐Ÿ˜€

Pen y Bryn is mediocre for the price you pay, not a patch on the B&P Grovsenor arms near Chester. The Queen's Head in Glanwyden (by Penrhyn Bay) is far superior but you'll most likely need to book asap. Apart from that, most places are massively over-rated.
