So, I missed the Scaninavian series, what with it being hidden away on bbc4, but have watched all of the US version, which I really like. So should I watch this series, or will it give the story away for when the yank one comes back?

Desmond - you need to watch the very first Scandi series. Also, did you watch the second series of the American version?

I understand this will be the last series, boo. ๐Ÿ™

Is it worth watching if I haven't watched the first two series or should I just record and save?

Um, well you would miss out on how Sarah Lund's character has developed, due to life events, as it were.

Why not record it and buy the dvds on Ebay?

OK, I'll admit that the first half hour left me feeling totally baffled - so much going on that I just couldn't follow it. Thank goodness it improved and it more or less slotted into place.

Looking forward to tonight's. 8)

I have finally got through S03 of Boardwalk Empire, which was the best series I have seen this year. The Killing S03 & Borgen S01 are locked and loaded for viewing over the next few weekends, hopefully.

...then next up in Feb will be Spiral S04.

[img] [/img]Have enjoyed all the Scando cop shows. The endings have been let downs though. Spiral is my fave out of all of them. The young lady pictured being a bonus.
For incredible endings The Shield easily romps it.

I watched the latest Killing so needs to watch the others, also will be checking out the Shield, Borgen and Spiral. They do seem more edgy and involving than our counterpart cop series

If they're repeated, you could also check out Braquo (French detective series) on FX and Romanzo Criminale (Italian) on Sky Arts, can recommend both.

Braquo

The Shield in French, basically.

...and that is high praise indeed.

As for Romanzo Criminale, I gave up trying to chase it round the schedules, so will just pickup the boxset at some point.
