Had an email from Spotify yesterday saying that I could now add up to 5 people to my family Spoty subscription for £15/month. About time too - been waiting for them to do this for ages.

Thought I'd mention it just in case any on here had been waiting.
Sorry if it's been done before.

Is that an additional 15 on top of the 10 for premium . So £25 quid in total ?

£10 for premium, an extra £5 for the family option.

Now if they can just work out how to stop losing over £100 million a year they'll be laughing....

Does it increase the number of devices you can download offline stuff onto? That's the key thing. My kids just use my account which is up to four devices, which is enough for most situations.

Though having your playlist switch to some hideous yoof mix halfway through your turbo session isn't ideal. 🙂

It's 5 individual accounts so they can download stuff to their own devices without affecting your account.

I've just signed up to it with a couple of mates, no point us all paying £10 each when we can pay £15 between us.

Thanks! I can stop my wife and daughter messing with my playlists now.

It would have been nice of them to let a long-time user know about this though.

I only got the email yesterday. I already had a family sub (my account which was shared with the wife and eldest daughter and one other other account which was shared by two other daughters) - do you already have a family sub?
