Sizes 45 to 48, great for people with big feet but too big for Mrs NBT sadly. Bargain though if they fit!

Anyone know how they size? I need some walking boots, although shoe size is usually a 44 so wondered if a 45 is going to be OK or a waste of time?

Over the last 20 yrs I've owned 7 or 8 prs, from high alt plastics to the original Manta.
IMO 45 wil1 be too loose for you, IME scarpas tend to be wider in the toe box compared to other similar brands (La sportiva, salomon etc).
I'm a 42 and always have been in everything, with the single exception of shimano. I once stupidly bought some scarpa Cerro Torre in 43 (cheap end of range in local outdoors shop). I put a volume adjuster in and wore extra socks, but they were always too big to hold the heel properly, sold them on ebay.

For once, I see a PSA about something that I, as a tall person with big feet, find useful. Then, on checkign the link, I see they are out of 47s. Gutted.

Good PSA though. Keep it up.

I thought these would replace my ZG10s

I have loads of boot fit issues. I couldn't even stand in the kitchen in these.

I couldn't deal with the band of memory foam pushing into my achilles

But for everyone else a great bargain

PS these are £135 on Go Outdoors. Unless you insist on not buying a discount card. Then they are £180

Missed them, darn look a bargain. If anyone has any 45/46s that prove the wrong size then email in profile and I'll pay the deal price plus postage.

Thanks

Well I may have got it wrong in ordering a 47 (size 12) as my current, worn out size 11 Salomon's are a tad small. I guess that's the risk of buying boots you can't try on first. No chance of Rock + Run changing them if they're not right but my son is a size 12 so he might get a pair of boots out of it.

If size 11 is your standard shoe size, then probably. I've always found Salomon and la Sportiva to be a tad small also, mainly too narrow across the toes. Scarpa always fit perfectly at my standard 42 size. I think my Scarpa Weisshorn, bought in Italy, were even a half size down ie 41.5.
Essentially there are two types of feet, narrow and wide, from my experience Scarpa make their boots wider, so you buy a larger size and they are probably even less likely to fit than a narrower design.

The Scarpa in 43 I bought on a whim (mentioned above), I think I persevered for 2 winter seasons, but my heel was always moving about and that was with them packed out with volume adjuster, custom moulded footbeds and extra socks. Eventually I accepted it was a daft impulse purchase.
You never know tho, you might get lucky

Worth being on their mailing list as they often have good footwear deals quite often.

Thanks to the OP for the great PSA post. Mine arrived today, the high quality is really evident. I normally take a 44 and ordered the 45's. They fit great!

Try not to run through too much heather etc. As those ones look like the early version which had issues with the uppers tearing. They fixed this in later models, by having a tighter weave.

Still...only £40, so not the end of the world, and the sole is exactly the same.

Have mine too. I also ordered on the large side and they're a perfect fit. I can see why the RRP was so high.

Just got mine. They are slightly large. With the laces nice and tight they feel really good in the toe area but there's a little movement in the heel. I might try a volume adjuster.

Kunstler: if you decide they're too big, I'll happily take them off your hands. I tried a 48 but they're slightly too big for me.

If anyone wants a size 13/EU 48, let me know.
