Doing the Proms and it’s a lot better rhan I expected.
I was there. It was chuffin brilliant. Hairs on end goose bumps brilliant.
BBC show was good but like ss92 I was there and no way your TV can capture the texture of the sound, but also the virtual silences at times - just a single violin note or a bowed xylophone reaching out into the vastness.
One of my top 5 all time gig experiences. I wish I'd known it would be that good because I'd have made my family come, and I'd have been better prepared myself rather than taking even half of the intro piece to realise how good it was.
Damn.... Missed that.
Hopefully be able to find it on catch up?
Started to watch it on iPlayer, God Cerys Matthews was irritating. Enjoyed the rest of it tho.
