STW mancrush ahoy! He's of to the states with the transit for a race.

Guy Martin, in a van, making progress.... all he needs is an artisan log burner in the back and he'd be an honorary member ๐Ÿ˜›

Are you sure he wasn't in the back with one of the hookers?

The narrator is a bit too serious for my liking but that was very enjoyable.

The original press release said the Transit episode was originally going to be a world speed record for a van with Guy aiming for 200mph (record apparently 174). Wonder what went wrong there?

Apparently human powered blimp channel crossing and hydrofoil speed record through the centre of Lincoln.

The online content is way better thdan the tedious TV broadcast. The whole run from 3 go pros and overhead shot from a plane.

Still not as good as the police camera action "liver run" from 19canteen though.

See, as a van owner, the thing that bothered me was, with that massive roll cage installed, how is he ever going to get his bikes in there, or a tonne bag of gravel, or a couple of washing machines, (one from the shop, one to the tip).

Had to record this but what do you actually get if you win the "Hookers Choice"?

Thought it would be quite good but found it all a bit stretched out and repetitive tbh, at least he got his van fixed out of it

30,000 lines of code to produce it
They'll have been generated automatically by a CAD/CAM computer thought. I doubt Mr Martin sat there tapping away at the Fanuc keypad for a couple of months to program it.

Just watched. They tried to make the "race" exciting, but it wasn't was it. The earnestness of the narration gets a bit irritating.
The hooker's prize was the best bit. Oh and Chitty Chitty Gang Bang.

+1. Far too serious a tone for what is just a bunch of blokes messing around.

Finally watched the transit episode. Looked an absolute blast.

If he'd painted it white it would have gone even quicker!
