That were reet good
That was brilliant. Wife came in and asked how he died - I was getting a bit of a chin wobble while telling her. He certainly was a great driver and a pretty funny bloke too.
It was a great insight into the people and the racing of that time.
Those cars were great, and the drivers were just fearless. When Jackie Stewart explained that they were fueled by aviation fuel and the fires that they had, it was a real eye opener.
I think the documentary was really good and I too was a little emotional at the way he died.
Terrific. Not only to see the man drive & win, but to see him having a laugh, playing with his family it choked me up it did.
Great programme. Certainly was a "driven" man (no pun intended) and did it through talent and hard work. What a shame he didn't get to see his son follow in his footsteps and become World Champion.
Double bugger! I remember hearing the news of the crash... 😥
What was the programme called so I might be able to source it from the interweb? Thanks.
It's called Driven.
It's on iplayer now, so get a drink and settle down with it tonight.
Cheers, I'm not sure if iplayer works in my region. 😕
