Will set the sky+

I don't get to hear blues that often these days as no-one else in the house is a fan.

There are only two of us in the house. As the other half is the female of the two of us, the control clearly rests in her hands!

I was half fearing this wasn't gonna be about music, phew!
Buddy Guy is really entertaining, hope he's on there.

Does anyone else remember the blues all-nighter on C4 back in the 80s ? Introduced by John Walters. Top stuff, wish they would re-run it.

There's a whole load of blues stuff in the next week or so on BBC4, they're having one of their mini-season things. I've got the tivo set to catch as much of it as I have found in the listings.

Should be good

I'm hoping that Kryton sees this thread as he recently posted about the Blues. 🙂

Ta, Sky+ set.

I too have seen Jeff Healey! Have you seen/heard his ex-guitarist Phillip Sayce?

I'm trying to remember who else I've seen. Buddy Guy, BB King, Gary Moore, Keb Mo (4-5 times), Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Cray (too often), Jonny Lang, Aynsley Lister (not enough), Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Missed John Lee Hooker cos he was ill and couldn't fly over. That makes me sad.

EDIT - Eric Bibb!

Thanks matthew. 🙂

Well, two hours of blues this evening so that was indeed a real treat. More to come on Sunday. 8)

I'm confused was tonight (6th) part 1 or part 2?

Tonight was part 2, not sure whether that was the final part.

Immediately afterwards was a Blues collection from Jools Holland's Later programmes. Included B B King, Bo Diddley and Buddy Guy. Definitely worth catching. 🙂
