An obvious question perhaps, Should you trust cetacean intelligence with the tall order of, say, assisting a woman in childbirth?

Apparently, Giving birth in the midst of curious marine life carries the risk of infection, death, and terminal idiocy:

[img] [/img]

This is oddball enough that no-one actually knows anyone who knows anyone who has done it, right?

People are free to make their own choices, and you should just keep your bottlenoses out of it.

When Mrs S was giving birth I thought something missing an now I know what it was, half a tonne of wild animal. I guess the safe delivery of my pod was a fluke.

From the link

Itโ€™s also conceivable that another sea creatureโ€”such as a sharkโ€”could try to โ€œhelp.โ€

Watched the two Hawaiian idiots on c4 last week.
I think my favourite bit was when male hippy idiot justified them having no scans during pregnancy by saying "well, no one knows the long term effects of ultrasound".

I'm sure I don't need to explain the many different reasons why this is so funny...

Given the dolphin's propensity for mounting other creatures would you trust the mother of your child with a horny dolphin?
