Just seen it in the paper, £35, don't get me wrong it's probably not up to site work, but for that money and a 3 yr warranty it's gotta be worth a punt.

how powerful is it? I'd say you need around 400 - 500w to be up to all the potential jobs you may do around the house. It also needs to be a hammer drill for masonry - if it ticks those boxes, I don't think you'll go far wrong.

Have you got a link?

1050w sds, with chuck adaptor for hss bits etc. Not for me, I've got heavier duty stuff as I'm a builder, but as a jobbing drill you can't go far wrong for that money!! Saying that I might invest coz it'd save me getting the transformer and leads out the van all the tIme!!

Looks pretty good to me...and with the warrenty you can't lose. In my experance, stuff from Aldi and Lidl is pretty good quality and just cheaply sourced. They do tend to get sold out quick though if it's a good offer - Good spec PC's especially can sell out in a few hours.

I'd go for it if I didn't have a drill already.

2.2j isnt too bad for £35 really. esp as it comes with the chuck adaptor.

I have a Ryobi one like this, which Ive abused the hell out of. Miracle it keeps going. Really shouldnt try and use it as a concrete breaker too often 😉

my brother bought a circular saw from lidl before,
parkside branded one with 3 year warranty and they definitely hold themselves to the warranty,
we have gone through 2 saws with burn't out motors and they replaced without question didnt even want to see them, just wanted a copy of the receipt,
the saws were well into their 1st years of use aswell and we were really abusing them whilst we were building summer houses out of scaffold boards.
they are cheap tools but worth it for the warranty i would say
