Apple TV free this weekend Fri - Sun https://www.apple.com/tv-pr/news/2024/12/get-a-free-all-access-pass-to-apple-tv-the-first-weekend-of-2025/
If anyone banks with Barclays and uses Blue Rewards then Apple TV is included in that.
Not free if you've used it in the past - you need to sign up to a trial of Apple One and remember to cancel.

Have you tried? I’d be surprised if that was the case as my understanding was this is totally open access for 3 days (as opposed to the usual 3 month trials).
Have you tried?
Yep. Unless I’m missing something it isn’t offering me anything other than restarting my sub.

Anyone tried by creating a new/temporary AppleID??
Just renewed our subscription.
If you've only got 48 hours, my recommendation would be Ted Lasso, Slow Horses and Shrinking.
Severance and For All Mankind are also good.
Does anyone actually enjoy Silo season 2? First was cracking, second is just kinda boring. I’d be more inclined to choose bad sisters season 2 (though I’ve not watched any of that yet)

Thanks for that.
For some reason, Barclays gave me free Premier about 10 years ago. As far as I could see, I didn't meet the requirements but it just appeared.
The only thing I used was the free English Heritage entry, they removed that around COVID.

Quite liking it, but series where the characters are geographically split up and you're flitting between them never work all that well. Walking Dead etc.
If you've got a roku tv, you can get 3 months for free if you sign up with a new email.
Silo is good viewing, too.
Thanks for the heads up on this and the recommendations, we will be trying out a few shows to see if it is worth taking out a subscription.

Apple's got more than 3 days worth but even if you only watch a couple of hours of TV a night I reckon a month's subscription will see you pretty much done with it. 2 at most.
Binged watched the entirety of Slow Horses S4 (only six episodes) and it was excellent.
Starting to work thru Bad Sisters S2 - again, excellent but struggling to find much else to be honest (I'm not a a sci-fi or fantasy fan though.)
Mine’s just popped up with a Free Weekend notification 🙂
Thanks. Watched CODA, which was excellent. Will watch another film tomorrow. Didn’t get any prompts for any subscription or payment on my account. Never used it before.
If you're never used it before, The Morning Show is also worth it (at least the first couple of seasons) but I'm all caught up having had two months and free trials in the past
Got through the first series of Slough House/Slow Horses. Got to confess, a bit disappointed after all the rave reviews. It was good, but the audiobooks are delicious. Sean Barrett narrates them and his version of Lamb is so beautifully repellent and rude. Maybe Gary Oldman's version gets better (worse) in future series.

Same here. I watched the first series, was pretty good, but nothing to make me leap into the rest. Finished S2 of Bad Sisters (ok, but really sagged in the middle eps, seeming to be a rehash of S1, with a female "Prick") once we'd watched the last one I hit the cancel button. Not worth £8.99 a month on top of £9.99 Netflix and however much Amazon, plus Sky... it's all a bit ridiculous.
Currently watching Reasonable Doubt.
I have no idea which way it's going? Only watch 1&2 but it does seem he's got a few secrets.
