I am looking to buy a PS4 Pro. Can't be arsed to stump up for a 5 - it will mainly be from grandkids to play on.
All of a sudden a load have appeared on FB marketplace at 100 GBP. Can I assume these are a complete and utter scam - or have prices dropped?

I bought one back in the summer from marketplace, think it was £145. I'd expect prices to be dropping as folk get the newer ones.
The only thing I found is on the one I bought the fan was really noisy (like a jet engine - totally different to the Xboxs we have in the house) which is apparently a common thing. Straightforward enough to strip it down, clean it out and apply some new thermal paste but it's something that I hadn't budgeted for, I'd just assumed I needed to buy some games 😀
So if you can buy it locally, get them to show you it working first and make sure it's not blocked on the PSN which was fairly common when I was looking. And if it's a Pro just assume that you'll be knee deep in teeny tiny screws, youtube tutorials and thermal paste at some point....

I was going to take my ps4 pro to CEX at some point, if you are anywhere near Nottingham you can buy mine if you like, comes with a few games too.
