Been asked to purchase a projector for the company and dont have a scooby doo what Im looking for.
Range would be 6mtrs max and looking for best clarity and value for money. Price range £300-600?? (guessing here).
Any pointers or special offers?
Cheers

If by range you mean the "throw", this can be different depending on the lens you use and any zoom offsets.

First thing you should do is decide how big the screen is, assuming it's to be used in a single fixed location. Once you know that you can spec the projector.

Thanks Wozza - thats changed things drastically.
Right throw or screen size will be 2Mtr x 2Mtr max. Distance from the screen will only be circa 2.5 mtr to 3mtrs and portable would be good(6mtrs max was a bad guess).

Drawn to this from the reviews - InFocus IN8606HD DLP
Any good?

Given that you want it portable, it's on budget, it's DLP, the addition of a built in speaker and all the inputs I think you could do a lot worse.

The estimated lamp life looks good and there's some docs to help you set it up. The first 5 amazon reviews I read said it was great, so I reckon you have a winner.

I put in your screen width and here's what it came up with.

Here's a link to the calculator so you can work out all the sizes.

Sorted.

Looks like the screen has to be less than .2m above your sleeping bag?

The great thing about the infocus ones it that when you move it and switch it on it displays "Infocus" but invariably it is out of focus.

Bonus! 😆
