private messages on here. Enter = send

I've been noticing this a few times now and others seem to be getting the same as me when they're replying.

Enter used to be 'new line' but now enter is send.... then starting a new message ....

I think someone may need to have a little peek.

Noticed that yesterday. I'll try shift + enter next time but it was just enter for new line before

Yeah. I just noticed this. Have ended up spamming people with several messages when all I wanted to do was start a new para in the same message! 🙄

Sometimes it's Shift, sometimes it's Ctrl (looking at you Teams).

Shift+Enter for me on Windows to get a new line in Teams.
I've never tried Ctrl + enter.
Or use the editing symbol (pen with letter A next to it) & nothing gets sent until you hit the send arrow.

Think it's in the Classwork box of Teams for Education. Inconsistent at any rate.

Ha, never used shift + enter on Teams, always used Alt + enter (like in Excel)

Facebook is a pain in the willy for this. If you're creating a new post then Enter works as you'd expect and Shift-Enter submits the post. If you're replying to an existing post however, the behaviour is reversed.
