Can anyone recommend a safe site to buy tickets for the premiership please. Heard a lot of horror stories about some sites

Depends on the club probably, but I just buy mine from Everton's website. There's usually decent availability if you get on early enough and most clubs in the prem would be the same.

This is not the case for the clubs that sell out all the time - Man U, Arsenal etc AFAIK where I think general sale is more restricted. Maybe there's availability from the club for a low key prem match, not really sure.
If you really wanted to see one of these teams you could always watch them at an away game.

The clubs official site would be the first stop although don’t be surprised if the technology is limited and you have to visit their ticket office.

If you are a floating glory hunter type from the Home Counties then Man U are advertising ticket availability on the radio, much to the amusement of City fans. If you just want to see a game I would go for a smaller club where the fans are a bit more excitable, QPR, Southampton etc.

IIRC you have to buy tickets from the club - prevents "away" fans sitting with the "home" fans and causing "troubles" when their "team" score.

Made more difficult if you follow say Arsenal playing at Aston Villa, living in Birmingham trying get Arsenal tickets and they only have a small allocation - chances are they won't let you have any.

* Don't have this problem at a Rugby match.

Viagogo do ticket exchange and are an official supplier for some clubs, think their tickets are guaranteed so might be worth a look

Club website, either buy directly or they will have a link to official resellers/exchange. If you want to go to one of the big clubs, then your best bet would be to look for cup matches or maybe European ties. To get tickets for a league game you will probably need to be a member and get in quickly when the match goes on sale. Getting tickets in the away allocation for a big club is even more difficult.

Depends massively where you are really - some less fashionable clubs (e.g. Wigan, Sunderland) you should be able to get tickets on the day.

Get mine from stubhub for Evertons home games basically season ticket holders sell tickets for games they cannot make or have no interest.Always get tickets for the family areas no problems and cheap to £20 for tickets on average
