I know most on here like to build a shed from scratch but has anyone used powersheds.com ?
As much as I'd love to build one from scratch I don't have the time to take on a project for the foreseeable.
I don’t see anything they’re doing that AN Other Local Shed Company Dot Com doesn’t do apart from using some very flowery language on their worlds most adaptable website copy TM.
I’ve got 2 6x4 that I bought a couple of years ago. (Awkward shaped area means that was easier than a bigger single shed.
Seem good quality, bit more solid and thicker timbers than the B&Q special they replaced. come with all the fixings needed too. Palletised delivery and the size of the sections made it easy to handle and erect.
The door locks they come with are pretty basic, as are the hinges so I’d replace them if you need any sort of security.
I did coat mine with water resistant sealant stuff before assembly & add strips of DPC to the floor joists where they rest on the slab.
They cocked my order up and sent windowed panels when I wanted ‘plain’, but were quick to send the correct panels.
They have survived 2 years so far and still seem solid, no loose bits, dropped or swollen doors or anything like that.
But to be honest my overriding reason for buying from them at the time was simply the lead times were so much shorter than the competition in the same sort of price bracket.

Ditto. So I ordered from a local shed company to make me a bespoke office and shed, in a roughly triangular area. Expensive, but quite quick. It was assembled by them in their workshop so I could visit and sort positioning of walls and doors etc. On site last week, finished a week later.
I'll try contacting some local shed builders. The lead time and cost is appealing from power sheds
Good to hear the power sheds aren't too shabby though, I'll keep in mind about the security, it's mostly just for garden stuff/outdoor toys, it doesn't have to be Fort Knox.
The company I used were also happy to assemble a kit from elsewhere. They'd done a Dunster House one recently, so it's always worth asking. Then you can get it finished to your spec.
