Does it *have* to be Portobello? More of a Greggs/Fish & Chips kind of place. If you can get over to Leith (no. 21 bus?) the world is your lobster.

Malvarosa is supposed to be quite good though haven't been there myself

Malvarosa is good. Bonoful is a great Indian in my experience. The Espy varies but has a great view and nice atmosphere. Foresters is new, heard mixed reports but not eaten there.

Espy does very good food, more pub grub style though.

Cheers, it was last minute. Went for a pint at Epsy, stayed for four and dinner. Great pub grub, thanks guys.
