MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
Hi there - after an indication of labour & extra hardware cost for fitting our new gas boiler as follows:
- Drain the system.
- To remove faulty wall mounted central heating boiler.
- Fit a new Valiant 418 HE wall mounted condensing boiler complete with all necessary pipework & fittings to connect to existing heating pipework.
- Supply & fit pvc condensate pipework & fittings to discharge into the easing waste water system.
The Valiant 418 HE is to be had online (quick google search) for £630.36 (ex Vat). This is the model our chap can get very quickly - 17,000-64,000 btu to replace our old (12 yrs old) 70-80,000 btu boiler - does that sound right??
Any advice on price range would be great, thanks, Dave
PS. also quoted to fit magnaclean unit but that looks a 2 minute job??
Either your original boiler was over specc'd or your guy has the valiant and wants it off his hands.
Calcs can be done easily google is your friend as long as you know how your house is put together.
Get several quotes their ain't much work around for plumbers at the mo' so shop around and try to get people on recommendation.
Cheapest is not always best.......understand what you are getting for your money.
I Normally charge 500 for boiler swap and magnaclean, that's labour only. I also have to subcontract a lot of work in my job and always get at least 3 quotes and then try bidding them of each other at the min it's pretty easy to haggle prices down as long as your likable
Oh sorry for 500 I would Inc fittings but not boiler flue or magnaclean unit
if tis any help we had a posh vaillant fitted last week
£1,775
this taking out the old shitty combi
