Due to a leak, I changed the tap in the garage yesterday. Â The garage is integrated with the house and the tap is furthest away from the water supply entering the house.
In order to change the tap, I had to switch the water off at the point it enters the house.
However, when the toilet cistern in our en-suite (2nd furthest away from water entering the house after the garage tap), the filling is notably noisier than it was. Â Basically you can hear the water rushing through the supply pipe until the cistern is filled. Â This previously did not happen.
I also note the the tap pressure in the en-suite drops if washing machine filling.
Any ideas what may be causing this?
Thanks.
Open all taps and water outlets all at the same time (flush toilets, turn on showers etc) Â Will purge any air from the system.
This often is the cause of issues after having the supply turned off for a while
