We will be in touch
I read it in the early 90s and it was set in the near future.
A group of kids, who’s parents were already in space, go to space in a home made ship made from a hollowed out meteor and lots of bits from a space ship scrap yard.
It was aimed at early teens I think, sounds a bit lame but I loved it. Cannot remember what it was called though!
It might have been part of a series of books.
No one I’ve asked had managed to come up with anything so let’s see if STW can come up with anything...
cheers!
Aquila?
I didn't realise there was a book, but I remember watching a TV series. (I'll have to read the book now...)
No, I remember that tv programme but it’s not the same story as the book I’m thinking of.
thanks though.
Starstormers by Nicholas Fisk?
Dove1 you are an absolute star! Thanks, I can rest easy now!
Hopefully I can buy the series and see how terrible it is before my kids read them...
Wow, I remember this fondly too! First book is only 99p on kindle. Time to relive a small part of my youth!
^^^Jeff noon fan by any chance?
Thanks for the reminder, I re-found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Legionary
