I want to take one image, make it transparent, then superimpose it on top of another image from which I have removed the background.
I need to find some online software that will allow me to do this.
Can you suggest anything ASAP?
You can certainly do this with GIMP. Which you will probably be a able to down load to your computer an install. Its open source and free. But it might take a while to figure out how to do it

This has always been my problem with GIMP. Quite powerful and is FOS, but I can never do anything quickly on it!
Paint.net should do the trick if you're on Windows.

Have you already done the back ground removal? That's the hard bit. I think that Word might do transparency in the latest vesions
Photopea is quite good. Pretty similar to photoshop so help is available. Free and online.
