[#2311831]

Trying to put up a really small hook, tapping the little tacks in isn't working as the bend when I hit the brick, after 4 attempts I've now managed to remove a 5p sized piece of plaster.

Any tips on what to do? Tempted to try no more nails....it's not a big picture - think square dinner plate

Why I can't manage even the most simple DIY jobs is beyond me.

'cos you don't do it properly - you look for the 'easy' way

Drill, rawplug, screw/screwed-hook - just because its a small picture doesn't mean that you need to use a small hook.

What angle are putting the nails in at?

Nails - tried angling ever so slightly down and also straight on, neither successful.

The picture has a decorative hook above it (chinese style) so I want the wall hook to be as small as possible as it's visible

Falling that drilling/screw seems to be the way to go if I could find small enough screws.

You want the nails 45 degree angle downward then there's no need for King of The Hill diy for a small picture.
