I'm in a new job and i'm doing a bit of brown-nosing, never hurts!

The boss has agreed the work pickup needs a freshen up, kind of agreed i could do it!

I want to do something funky, but he's not sold on this.
I thought if i could Photoshop some ideas he may agree. I cant afford or need(i don't think!)a big new all singing all dancing version. Something older would do.
Does anybody know where i can get a proper free downloadable version? I'm dubious about some of the links I've seen.

Many thanks.

+1 for GIMP, or even www.pixlr.com for a free browser-based application.

Gimp +1

Will do most things PS will do if you don't need the advanced stuff. Still even with Gimp there is a learning curve and youtube videos will help you lots.

Not that I particularly use it in anger but, I prefer Paint.NET to Gimp. Gimp is a bit, I dunno, Gimpy.

Gimp's great. It's pretty much a free replica of Photoshop. I found it a little bit buggy, and the layout's a pain when you're used to Photoshop (only because it's different) but for free, you can live with that.

Or there's Photoshop Elements, which is a cut down version (still very useful and popular) for much less outlay.

And Ps doesn't? Still, nowhere near as bad as Illustrator. 😀

the gimp is incredibly clunky compared to photoshop, but it'll do the job..
