Can’t remember last ‘proper’ ride I actually had.
Nice to be out.
Forgot how hard even short climbs can be fixed though!

I used to ride a fixed gear around Bristol.

You were always the first to the top of the climbs, but you needed that extra time for puking in the bushes.

The other way I'm entertaining myself in lock down. Doing a plank/wall sit challenge with my best mate seeing who can last the longest after a month. I'm winning on the wall sit so far after a 2:31 plank today.

First day in shorts and short sleeves for me today. Plenty out and about all billy-no-mates though (except for the grey-heads in Kirton though they looked like they had just met at the junction and were maintaining a safe spacing).

Just after I took the last one a lovely burgundy metallic McClaren soft-top came through (MC12 I think) making a nice burbly sound and he didn't go mad out of the village either.

This maybe the closest I get to visiting Santa Pod this year. I was supposed to be going to Big Bang in May for some VW drag racing but we might still be on lock down

I love it really I am just so out of shape right now though.
Start commuting again on it next week though so start to get it back.

Went shopping the longer way round. Stopped off on the cycle route on the way home for a tinnie in the sunshine and to wave at the trains.

Got about 1km from home when my front brake (XTs) seized on so had to go home and swap bikes (does that technically make it two rides today? Will the exercise Gestapo be coming for me?!?).

Went trail hunting yesterday and was successful;

That second one is steeper than it looks in the pics and is the runout for the drop in the first pic.
Loads more here, berms, jumps, drops, etc and recently worked on judging by the wheelbarrows and tools stashed nearby.

Made it out into the New Forest in some glorious sunshine today. Glad I rode a bit farther from home as the Castleman Trail near home was heaving with groups of folks. Only saw about 5 other people in the distance in the 25 miles in the New Forest.

Took my camera and zoom lens out for my walk round Arthur's Seat to take pictures of birdies. Some blur as it's an old camera with no stablisation and the shots were handheld.

OK. I've been out this afternoon for the first time in what seems like months, with the camera, doing a bit of Geographing. So why not make an attempt to join in the fun here too? Let's see if this works; wish me luck
Dry and dusty along this bit
The (mostly) dry and dusty Hubbal Lane

Pink primroses, not yer normal yellow jobs
Pink primroses, not yer common or garden yellow fellas

Edit - Well, stap me, that worked. I'm officially gobsmacked.

I can't be trusted not to fall off,off road so I took the Jeffsy for a road spin. As you do.

This picture has everything though.

A cathedral.
A castle.
A woman chasing a dog.

What you say, no Soviet era submarine as featured in a movie a few years back? I suggest you look again!

Had a double Inguinal hernia op early March, was told not to cycle for 28 days,Thursday was day 31 so I got out on the road bike for a steady spin.
The sun was shining & with the bat flu situation the roads were quiet.

I did a steady 24 miles, following it up with 26 miles the next day.
Yesterday I had a rest,today I did 33 miles.

It was misty crossing the moss first thing.
Back to work tomorrow, next time I'll get time to ride will be Friday,I just hope we are still allowed out next week!

Went out a bit later today, quite alot more out walking. Couple of large groups, apart from that most seem to be keeping the distance. Nice to see a couple of families out riding with the kids
