MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I'm looking for a decent camera to shove in my pocket for multi-day trips. This will replace a Canon D30 which has been OK but I've never felt I've got a really decent picture out of it.
The TG-5 tough looks good to me. Any opinions/alternatives
we have a TG4 tough for exactly that
it does it well
can only imagine the 5 is better at it
Not used the olympus, but I'd be seriously considering a Go-Pro as an alternative. I know some people set them up to take a still every 15 seconds. You just point your head in the right direction, rather than missing the shot or deciding you're enjoying the trail run and you can't be bothered to stop and get the camera out. And you'll probably get some decent shots your wouldn't have taken or weren't expecting.
I've had a Tg1 for years, and it's been faultless as a point and shoot, on the outside of a pack, snorkelling, sailing, skiing, etc camera.
Go-Pro is a versatile camera, so you can't go wrong with it.
thatll be fine for the first 2-3 hours of his ride ned but my experiance of "did you get that" with my mates go pro is ... "Na bruv batteries dead innit"
