I need to change my phone (Moto E 2nd Gen)as i have bought a car stereo which benefits with a phone having NFC. My initial thouhts were go with an Xperia Z or something similar, only thing is im not quite sure what i can get for under £100 similar or better than the xperia z. The waterproof and protection on the glass is a biggy for me as i always ride with phone in my pocket - even when kayaking 🙂 Let me know if there is anything else i can look out for?
Well my Xperia Z1 compact is supposed to be water resistant. I take with me on every ride and it lives in my pocket, no issues on wet rides, no problems with rain but I wouldn't dare submerge it as I did a few times with my old xperia go.
I keep meaning to get some sort of rubber case for it but just never see anything that looks like a proper job. I dropped it on concrete once and it put a dent in the charge port cover, probably compromising a bit of its water repellency.
