I've got a light strip to go in the bathroom. I'm using an extension cable to lengthen the distance between the strip and the transformer box, but this extension cable plugs in the "other" end of the strip, not the end with the existing connector. The strip still works like this.
But, I need to cut the strip to length. Do I still cut at the predefined cut marks, or are those marks redundant because I'm using the strip in the wrong direction!?
Does this even make sense!?

Direction should be irrelevant (There are a couple of directional ones but they are quite specialist). Always cut at the cut line.
