We will be in touch
Tried to resurrect my old thread, but it's too old!
We had the bathroom done and put a hue led lightstrip in an aluminium tray along one wall. It has an extension cable which runs through the wall up into the loft where the little power unit sits. It's been great all this time.
Couple of weeks ago it went "unreachable" and I now can't get it to work. Deleted it from the app and tried to reinstall it but the app won't find it.
Is it likely that moisture will be the problem and the strip is screwed!?
Edit - when I plug in the "uninstalled" light, it should come on white shouldn't it? Then it's reachable.
It's not even coming on at all.
Is the control box in an area that's susceptible to moisture?
You can usually tell if it's the strip as they tend to flicker or lose one colour first, and the corrosion is visible.
If it's a dodgy capacitor in the little driver unit there's not a huge amount that you can do. Much cheaper replacements abound on Amazon etc - they integrate with other Hue stuff, I think.
