I just caught this before it closed. It's rare to see painting to the fore again after so much non descript conceptual drivel.
His influences from art history are clear, I enjoyed the scale and ambition but was left slightly underwhelmed by the surface texture in his paint.
I left inspired to paint some big badass pictures again.
Has anyone else seen it?
